On a pilgrimage to the wayfarer’s temple of St. Zabeth, from whom the world has not heard in over ten years, you enter the riparian forest. The streams that feed into South Kul weave through the woodlands, playfully intertwining and dividing, dancing through thick patches of sacred trees and making a journey by foot a true struggle. Any roads that once led through the woods have since washed out or grown-over in disuse.

Departing South Kul, you are warned that few leave by the southern gate.

Fewer still return.

THE RIPARIAN FOREST OUTSIDE SOUTH KUL is what I'm calling a "low-stakes" crawl. Within 16 pages, there's a map with a few keyed locations, there are a few random encounter tables, random landmarks to find: it's a good deal, I'd say. Designed with CAIRN by Yochai Gal and PILGRIMS OF MISFORTUNE by Nate Treme in mind, this is a forest for you to explore and make your own. It's a pilgrimage after all, so you should absolutely feel free to chart your own path.

Thanks to Yochai for the compressed and booklet versions!

3-4 is probably the sweet spot. More than that, and they might have a chance of a fair fight.
